Frequently Asked Questions and Answers:
   

1. Who may apply?

All full-time Baylor faculty members may apply, including those with adjunct appointments, emeritus appointments, and non-terminal degree faculty members.

2. Will written reviews be provided to applicants?

The committee will provide constructive feedback on the scientfic and commercial aspects of the proposals, but it will not be possible to provide in-depth reviews.

3. By when do award funds need to be expended?

The award funds are type 2 restricted. However it is expected that the full award amount will be expended at the end of one year from award date.

4. What reports are required?

A six-month interim progress report (1 page) and annual progress reports are required for 4 years after the receipt of the award. The reports should detail publications, presentations, grants, and/or venture capital that resulted or were related to this project.

5. Are device studies allowed?

Yes.

6. Are proposals for novel applications of approved therapeutics permitted?

Yes.

7. Who may I contact for help determining the eligibility of my project for this award?
